There were a lot of awesome new death metal bands this year - so many that after listing the ones I deemed to be my favorite the list encompassed almost all of the new bands. I will however give a mention to countrymates Immerse with their awesome melodeath debut, and Beyond Creation and First Fragment for their relative debut tech debut offerings from the year - go Canada!
