The style here is rooted in brutal USDM like Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel and Suffocation. They don't offer much in the realm of innovation, but they are technical and acrobatic enough that the various tempo shifts should keep the listener's attention. Again, there are only two tracks, so it's more like a single. Both are equal in quality, with a mixture of blasting, squeals, and flurries of more technical, thrashy riffing, plus the inevitable breakdowns, which In Torment always manage to keep entertaining. The solos are wild and it's apparent this band can play their instruments well. At 8 minutes (plus the video), this is really just a teaser for the band. If they can release a full-length with tracks of this caliber, it will be something to look forward to.
Verdict: Indifference [6.5/10]
